This satellite image shows the final part of the Hispar glacier.
Unfortunately, the clouds hide a huge part of the mountains in the
east (where one can only distinguish the glacier of the fabulous trilogy
basin, Trivor, Desteghi and Khunyang Sar, at the bottom right of the
photo) but the uprightness of Spantik is visible at the top of the
image uphill of the glacier tongues of the Barpu glacier. The experts
may probably recognize the fragile but fertile dejection cone on which
the Hispar village is situated with its cultivated terraces (left
side of the glacier).
